Corral Incident Malibu Nov 24, 25, 26, 2007
On November 4, 2007 we got the early morning wake up call for a fire in Malibu ... Our first assignment was to go up Latigo Canyon. After just starting our climb we were literally run out by the fire. All five of the engines in our Strike Team (5 engines plus the Battalion Chief's suburban) had to "somehow" turn around and get back down to PCH (Pacific Coast Hwy). Latigo is a very narrow road and it was a challenge to say the least! We were assigned to structure protection just off PCH and were there for the first day. Check out the video slideshow to see what it was like for us!

...Still working on the New Station
Our staion is coming along ... slowly, being that it was supposed to be fininshed July 2007. They are working on the outside first coats in these pics. These pictures were taken around the third week of October 2007.
We have limited access to view the station during the construction due to "rules" so it is a bit hard to get more than "outside shots".
We will keep you posted on all the new developments.

... More Station Work
A Station in Progress
Our Current Station
Yes, We have Moved to the Beach!
Yes, it true, we have moved to "The Bu" or Malibu as it is officially called. Lowell and John made the move a bit before me so this is my first post. I have some catching up to do. We have a new station that is being built and was supposed to be completed this fall yet they are way behind schedule so who knows when it will be completed. I hope to show you some of the work in progress.
